Here are a few facts about Women in the Workforce:

University of Oklahoma, March 2005, Study: Why Women Leave IT. "Women are leaving the Information Technology (IT) Field...In 1996 women represented 41% of the IT workforce. In 2002 the ratio dropped to 35%. The study found that work family balance was a significant issue specifically for women in IT."
An estimated $300,000 is lost due to training and recruitment every time an associate attorney leaves a law firm. To a large law firm with a departure rate of 15%, this could equal an average cost of $12 million yearly. The average annual attrition rate for law firms nationally is 19%, according to the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) Foundation. Additionally, the NALP reported "only about 17% of the partners at major law firms nationwide were women in 2005."
Reported in an article published by the AICPA Organization, May 2005, Opportunity and Balance: Is Your Organization Ready to Provide Both? "The ability to achieve balance has an impact on employee retention. The date showed the three main reasons for professionals' leaving public accounting were (1) Working Conditions, (schedule, hours, and assignments), (2) Work/Life Balance and (3) Desire for change. For professionals under the age of 35, working conditions (81%) and work/life balance (68%) playing major roles.

The vast majority (83%) of women business owners are personally involved in selecting and purchasing technology for their businesses.
More than two-thirds (67%) of women business owners choose financial products and services based upon their relationship and experience with a lender.
Women and men business owners have different management styles. Women emphasize relationship building as well as fact gathering and are more likely to consult with experts, employees, and fellow business owners.
